About Smokeless Heat Logs

We are absolutely buzzing to finally share some big news with you all…

After a long time in planning, the Bearded Bleepers are thrilled to announce that our very own exhibition stand is nearly complete and will be going on public display at Shere Museum in Surrey when the museum reopens after christmas on Valentine’s Day – February 14th, 2026.

This exhibition has been a real labour of love, and seeing it come together has been incredibly exciting. The stand will showcase some of our very best metal detecting finds, carefully selected to highlight the rich and fascinating history hidden beneath Surrey’s soil.

Even better, the display won’t be static, it will be updated regularly as we continue to make new discoveries out in the fields.

Visitors will also be able to watch videos of us unearthing some of the very finds on display, giving a real behind-the-scenes look at the moments when history first sees the light of day again. Alongside this, there will be information boards about who we are, what metal detecting is all about, and our detecting adventures across Surrey.

To say we are super excited is a massive understatement!!!

We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Marsha and the entire team at Shere Museum for making this opportunity possible. The welcome and support we’ve received has been fantastic.

I was honoured to be invited to give a presentation at the museum’s recent Annual Meeting – it was great to meet everyone and share our finds and passion for local history and metal detecting.

We’re really looking forward to an ongoing collaboration with Shere Museum, and this exhibition is just the beginning.

There’s plenty more to come, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
