We’re delighted to share that the Bearded Bleepers have been featured in the latest edition of the Shere Parish Magazine! The article highlights our metal detecting adventures in Surrey and shines a spotlight on our upcoming Surrey metal detecting exhibit at Shere Museum, which will be on display from 14th February.
You can read the article in the Shere, Peaslake and Gomshall Parish Magazine HERE.
If you haven’t visited Shere Museum before, this is the perfect excuse. The museum has an amazing collection celebrating the rich history of Shere, including everyday objects used by people in the village through the years.
In just a few words, the museum’s collection covers local life and trades, domestic and childhood history, bottles and textiles, photography and film, wartime and archaeology, plus archives such as maps, parish magazines (from 1893), photographs, and local history records for Shere, Gomshall and Peaslake.
They also have a fantastic and knowledgeable team who are always happy to answer questions and help you learn more about the area.
And now you can view our metal detecting finds in person too! We’ll be constantly updating the display, so every time you visit there should be something new to see as we continue unearthing Surrey’s buried history.
Please come along, visit the museum, and check out the Bearded Bleepers exhibit at Shere Museum from 14th February — we can’t wait to share it with you! 🧔♂️🔔
